Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) has launched its new browser called the JioPages, which mainly focuses on data privacy. The browser aims to keep subscribers logged in with personalized content, home screen, and theme and offerings in multiple languages. Jio, with more than 400 million subscribers, said that its browser was made with web security in mind. With the rise in data breaches and cyber-attacks, the JioPages will help users secure their browsing information and other relevant data.
While keeping privacy at the core of the browser, JioPages will also provide superior performance compared to other telecom peers. It is built on the powerful Chromium Blink engine, enhancing browsing experience through faster engine migration, best-in-class web page rendering, faster page loads, efficient media streaming, Emoji domain support, and encrypted connection.
Under the personalized home screen, users have the option of setting any of the leading search engines in the market, such as Google, Bing, MSN, Yahoo, or DuckDuckGo, as their default search engine. The also browser blocks unsolicited ads and popups to provide the user with a seamless browsing experience. With this move, Jio is aiming to gain more popularity in the browser security sector.
