The company launched the solution at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022
Huawei has announced the launch of its new microwave solution for 50 Gbps E-band. The innovation from Huawei will help meet the ultra-high-bandwidth needs of the dense urban areas. The company launched the solution at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022.
The microwave solution for 50 Gbps E-band will bank of the fact that transmission range of lone-reach E-band is 50% higher than the industry average. This E-band will improve the transmit power of 6dB to 24 dBm. With this antenna, the transmission range is expanded by 50%, from 3.5 km to 5km, which makes it good for urban settings. To simplify its deployment, IBT antennas are being used; these can be installed on pole sites. The IBT antennas have already been applied broadly in more than 20 global networks.
Besides the 50 Gbps E-band, Huawei has also launched a simplified SuperLink solution for suburban areas named as ECOwave solution. This can achieve 10 Gbps capacity across over 40km. This solution can help scale up 5G deployment.
