WORK180 has announced that it will expand in the US market after attaining funding from Atlassian’s co-founder. The Atlassian co-founder Scott Farquhar and his wife Kim Jackson completely backs WORK180 because of its hard working CEO. Gemma Lloyd is her name and has successfully raised $1 million investment for her company. “I feel like I’m living my dreams right now”, she said and also with her co-chief executive Valeria Ignatieva, WORK180 is said to do wonders in the US market.
Currently, the startup managed to attract investors such as Joshua Borenstein, Jeremy Same, Mark Hoenig, Thomas rice, the Australian startup accelerator Startmate and Ms. Jackson and Mr. Farquhar.
The company mainly started because Ms. Lloyd was once dismissed for being a “pretty young blonde”, which is absurd according to many. She carries ten years of experience in the tech industry with which she now lists jobs from businesses that are pre-screened against a set of 35 criteria. This also includes pay equity, flexible working, paid parental leave and mainly, women in leadership. The business was self-funded in 2015 by both Ms. Lloyd and Ms. Ignatieva that was first named as DCC jobs. Now the employee's count has reached 23 people and is on track to do over $2 million this year. BHP, Commonwealth Bank, Telstra, Qantas, Microsoft, Expedia, and Atlassian being its client base, it is evident that the come startup will surely create an impact in the market, let us see what happens.
