PATANJALI CAN BE A PERFECT COMPETITOR AND A THREAT

PATANJALI CAN BE A PERFECT COMPETITOR AND A THREAT

This is how a yoga guru can turn into a Business giant, the man who teaches the art of healthy leaving is turning his simple healthcare tips into healthy and wealthy business by producing varieties of daily products with natural touch, but the interesting point is that the company “Patanjali” founded by Baba Ramdev is posing perfect rivalry to the homegrown companies like Dabur and Marico.

In addition with this the Ayurveda Company is entering into a partnership with the “Future Group”. The two companies announced a pact to sell Patanjali’s FMCG products through Future Group stores with a plan of joint manufacturing in the future. Patanjali’s range of FMCG products including staples, nutrition, health care and toiletries will be sold through Future Group’s BigBazaar, KB’s and Easyday outlets throughout India.

Baba Ramdev stated that Patanjali is also planning to launch products like pasta and oatmeal and targeting to achieve 5000 crore turnover this fiscal year.

Market research analysts say that the company is unlikely to change the dynamics in overall FMCG industry where HUL, ITC, DABUR and GODREJ already have a strong brand retained customers, maybe in particular niche products (healthcare products as niche for Patanjali) the company may gain very promising share of market.
