Facebook Launches Centres to Boost up The Entrepreneurial Zeal of Indian Startups

Facebook is in plans to enhance the startup ecosystem in India. In order to do that, it has launched training and mentoring facilities across nine cities that will be beneficial for entrepreneurs looking to boost their businesses. These centres, also called as Facebook Hubs, will aim at fostering innovation and support for the community by hosting mentor hours and training, workshops and roundtable discussions in twenty locations across Delhi, Noida, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai, Goa and Pune.

Facebook has also entered into a partnership with 91springboard, the co-working space provider firm, to support a year-long programme where entrepreneurs can invest their time in learning and skill development.Satyajeet Singh, Head of Product Partnerships, Facebook India and South Asia, said, “Facebook Hubs stem from our mission to provide startups with the infrastructure, mentorship, and support they need to grow and scale their operations ethically and sustainably.” He says that they envision of developing the businesses of tomorrow while improving the startup culture of India by working with hundreds of startups and developing several programmes.

He believes that Facebook Hubs bring a new approach to boost India’s dynamic startup engine and offer a further push to the entrepreneurial zeal of the country by working towards developing robust, sustainable programs, conducive places and meaningful partnerships with relevant ecosystem partners. The CEO of 91springboard, AnandVemuri, said that they were proud and delighted to collaborate with Facebook, and they hope to enable entrepreneurs get access to a wide array of knowledge, tools and resources that will help them gain a massive competitive edge.
