Wasabi Technologies Opens Its APAC Headquarters in Japan

The hot cloud storage company Wasabi Technologies has announced the opening of its APAC headquarters in Japan. The headquarters will act as the center point for the premier company to serve a nice bunch of countries, including Australia,Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore and more.

The establishment of the brand new headquarters in Japan means that the company has expanded further in the APAC region. Wasabi has appointed Kaz Kuroda as the VP of APACand Managing Director of the Japan. He will be the headman of the HQ and will be responsible for managing Wasabi’s business in Japan and the APAC region.

"Like many regions across the world, the disruption of the last year has influenced companies across the Asia-Pacific region to revisit their technology strategy with a focus on business resilience and pandemic preparedness. Cloud infrastructure technology and services investments are critical components of this change," said Andrew Smith, Research Manager, Cloud Infrastructure Services at IDC.

The company’s very first public cloud service in the APAC region is based in Tokyo. It is expected to expand soon in the coming months. Thispresence of Wasabi will help the businesses in the region gain big time and store their data at an affordable cost.
