SaaS Startup Postman Now Valued At $5.6 Billion after New Funding Round

SaaS startup Postman raises $225 million in its Series D round

The leading collaboration platform for API development Postman has announced that it has raised $225 million in Series D round. The funding round was led by existing investor Insight Partners, and joined by new investors Coatue, Battery Ventures, and BOND, along with existing investors CRV and Nexus Venture Partners. DoorDash Product Leader Gokul Rajaram and Freshworks Founder Girish Mathrubootham have also joined as individual investors.

This round of funding has propelled its valuation to $5.6 billion and makes it India's most valued SaaS enterprise. Across four rounds of funding, Postman has raised $430 million.

The San Francisco-and Bengaluru-headquartered company is going to use the fresh funding to expand its teams in sales, product, marketing, and engineering. Postman will also use the funding for its continued investment in the community of developers all over the world.

“We are thrilled to have the support of our community and customers who continue to propel us forward, and this new round of funding will help Postman dramatically increase the speed of that forward motion. We’re committed to helping developers who are building the future with APIs,” said Postman CEO and Co-founder Abhinav Asthana.

The SaaS company was founded by Abhinav Asthana, Abhijit Kane and Ankit Sobti in 2014. The company was valued at $2 billion a year back. Today, Postman has over 17 million users and 500,000 organizations on its platform.
