Lyft recently announced the addition of a new feature for its business profile

In 2016, Lyft launched a new idea of a Business Profile in order to help track any rides that an employee is taking for work purposes. With the help of this feature, it becomes easier to offer customized solutions to organizations that require mobility services to travel to and fro for meetings. They have been working with corporations across the country to make corporate travel simple by making information like real-time tracking of the rides and cost estimates easily accessible to the Managers responsible for processing the requests.

Recently Lyft announced a new feature for its Business Trips with the help of which employers can form a direct connection between the employees taking the trip and the travel managers assigned to them to manage expenses for employees’ work-related travels. In the earlier feature of this app, employees could share their travel receipts via email after completion of the trip. They soon moved on to an in-app integration with various expense management partners that enables employees to share their travel receipts directly on the expense management system which makes it possible for the managers to view all rides taken under the business profile.

Now, with the new feature in place, employees get to select from a pre-decided list of the expense codes before the ride starts. In this manner, all of these receipts get saved collectively with the company’s business management system. This information can be accessed by company authorities in the form of monthly reports enabling them to maintain a log of all company travels. Lyft has proved to be quite a useful solution for organizations in terms of providing customized travel plans for their employees.
