Google stands tall in the industry today through constant evolution in all its domains. The company frequently innovates to give its users a better experience and simplify life. In light of the same, the company is finding numerous ways to improve existing functionalities of ‘Google maps’.
Although it has guided several people around the globe to their destinations, it is yet to be the “go-to” app for travelers.
Keeping in mind the Indian users’ needs, the firm has introduced three new dining features. These features will be present in the Explore Tab for all users to avail dining offers. By optimizing Machine Learning, Google Maps will identify the top suggestions across various categories in different cities. Users are further given an option to explore other popular neighborhoods as well.
The ‘For You’ feature is introduced where Google Maps will suggest to you the top trending places, latest restaurants and upcoming events that might meet your interests and needs. The ‘Your Match’ score will give a detailed description of the location based on your scores or reviews which you would have given in the past. The ‘Offers’ feature will help in discovering local offers, deals, and claims that you can make from selected restaurants.
Also, the Explore Tab is redesigned in such a way that it meets the Indian users’ expectations. Google has observed how the people in India interact with Google Maps and realized that there is a need to modify the existing platform. Thus several shortcuts like Store Offers, Medical Shops, Hotels, Petrol Bunks, Restaurants, ATMs, and Shopping stores are added.
