Gelmalto and Datacard Collaboration Extends to speed up IOT Security Adoption

Gelmalto, the Netherlands - based software company and Datacard Group, an American Firm has announced that both the companies are extending their partnership to add a protected framework for IoT devices across various industries. The announcement was made public on Monday.

“Organizations are still struggling to incorporate security into IOT initiatives and keep pace with the broader IoT objectives of delivering innovative services and more efficient operations. While we continue to work with the industry to mature best practices and standards, we’ve also incorporated this learning’s into our solutions,” said Josh Jabs, VP, IOT solutions, Datacard.

The collaboration focuses on the industries which need to simplify their process of creating and maintaining safety in IoT products and services with an inbuilt cloud-based solution for identity management and data safety.

The move by both the companies will help the customers to leverage Entrust Datacard ioTrust™ Security Solutions along with Gemalto’s SafeNet Data Protection on demand to set up and safeguarded trusted identities across their internet of things platforms and further facilitate their digital business initiatives.

The organizations can opt between on-premises editions of the safety net hardware security unit, key management, and data encryption products and entrust Datacard’s ioTrust security solution, as products of both the companies are very crucial and important for the customers

 “We are pleased that many security providers are now coming together to integrate solutions and employ security across the entire IoT ecosystem,” said Todd Moore, senior VP, Encryption Products, Gelmalto.
