Tesla cars will be fully self-driven soon

Tesla cars will be fully self-driven soon

Who doesn’t want a car that takes us to our destination itself while we can enjoy a movie or munch on popcorns!

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announces that a new software update, which is going to be launched in August, will bring more autonomy to Autopilots. The name Autopilot may sound like a fully automatic electric car, but it is still semi-automatic. It presently provides auto steer feature, keeps the driver in the lane, brake and accelerates the car forward as long as driver’s full attention is on the wheels.

In his latest tweet, Musk claims full self-driving features in the upcoming Tesla Version 9.0. Tesla’s website now features an exclusive section on the Autopilot page called “Full Self-Driving Capability”. “All you need to do is get in and tell your car where to go”, the website claims.

Although the cars will be able to drive on its own, it still has regulations and limitations on self-driving vehicles on public roads. Autopilot costs an extra $5,000 for this feature of Tesla electric cars. In September 2016, Tesla 8.0 included Autopilot improvements and other dashboard updates. The latest update of Autopilot promises improved auto-steering, lane changing, warning notifications and other auto features for cruise control, braking, high beams, parking, and speed control.

Tesla aims to make driving a much comfortable experience for everyone. Let’s tie our seatbelts and enjoy the ride of future!
