Banking Trojans Trickbot targets the Indian net-banking industry

After the global WannaCry ransomware attack which caused hindrance in around more than 5 chief big of India, a new banking malware called Trickbot has came into the knowledge of the cyber experts. It’s been speculated that, the moment when global ransomware was creating alarming situation purposely owing to the exploits used by WannaCry Ransomware, a banking Trojans ‘TrickBot’ was also working towards pilfering banking qualifications and gaining access to the banking accounts of the victims.

Eyeing mainly on the CMS systems, which provides Trickbot with the access qualifications which can further leveraged to bring out the targeted attacks which comprises lance phishing attacks and up to a convinced extent water holing attacks.

If reports are to be believed, Trickbot has made addition of couple of Indian banks recently to its pattern such as State Bank of India and ICICI bearing in mind their enormous consumer base. eScan, regarded as an internet security solution provider, forecasts that in upcoming weeks or months, the Trickbot malware may  carry out campaigns on larger scales targeting Indian Online Banking Customers and a little further Indian banks to be added by Trickbot into its configuration. Additionally, based on the triumph of Trickbot, few other banking Trojans are also predictable to slip into the Indian cyberspace.

Further, in a move to stop the attack and protect users banking space, EScan recommends to employ an antivirus or any Internet Security Suites on all devices including mobile phones. Also, it is suggests to frequently concern the patches, released by software vendors.
