Sony has launched its premium wireless over-ear headphones- WH-1000XM5 in India

Sony has used a carbon fibre composite material driver that improves high-frequency sensitivity

Sony has launched its next-generation premium headphones, WH-1000XM5, in India. The headphones were introduced in the global markets in May and are now making their way to India. The premium headphones have distinctive features such as superior audio quality, renowned noise canceling and immersive, distraction free audio experience. It is competing with other premium headphones such as Bose QuietComfort and Jabra Evolve2 65. Sony has priced them at ₹34,990, but is offering them at a special pre-booking offer of ₹26,990.

The wireless over-ear headphones will be available in silver and black at all major electronic stores, Sony Centres and e-commerce platforms in India. Sony has equipped the headphones with its popular noise cancellation technology. According to the company, the headphones use two processors coupled with eight microphones to reduce noise, especially in the mid-high frequency range. Also, the headphones have a 30mm driver unit that enhances noise cancellation. To enhance and give a more premium audio experience, Sony has used a carbon fibre composite material driver that improves high-frequency sensitivity for more natural sound quality. Additionally, the Sony WH-1000XMS headphones are 360 Reality Audio Certified, which means you can enjoy a custom immersive audio experience with personalization.
