Tech giant Acer is all set to expand its retail footprint in India through its new stores

Acer, one of the biggest hardware and electronics corporations in the world, has recently made an announcement that it will now focus on expanding its product line, retail presence, and manufacturing in India. The company is also looking forward to increasing exports from India and add more local jobs and improve innovation. As of now, Acer is producing Chromebooks, tablets, desktops, laptops, projectors, display monitors, accessories, air purifiers, gaming devices, and audio devices. Acer has a global facility that is centralized in Taiwan, and it is responsible for all the design and research. Acer’s manufacturing base is all over the world, including places like Europe, Australia, India, North America, and Indonesia.

 In India, Acer’s manufacturing plant is based in Puducherry and is well-equipped to produce more than 3500 units per shift. However, this number can be expanded based on demand. Chief Business Officer of Acer India, Sudhir Goel, has stated that the manufacturing capability of the Indian plant is exceptional, and they are responsible for all the exports in south-east Asia.  He furthermore added that Acer has been delivering servers, desktops, and notebooks, along with other products, for more than two decades in India. The company has more than 100 stores all over India, and it is planning to add more than four new stores in the Telangana state.
