T Harish Rao, Finance Minister of the Telangana State in India, has recently made an announcement that the public can now expect integrated non-vegetarian and vegetarian markets in almost every city in the State. Almost Rs 500 crore has been allocated for this effort by the State Government, and it was also mentioned that more than 117 mobile fish outlets would be flagged under HMDA. These vehicles will visit the State's housing colonies to enable customers to easily purchase fish and fish curries. The vehicles are designed meticulously to accommodate both fish and fish curries.
Each vehicle is estimated to cost around 10 lakh, where 6 lakh will be used to purchase the vehicle, and the rest would serve as the beneficiary's contribution. The FM had handed over cheques worth 45 lakh to 13 women of the co-op society under the program. While addressing the new move, the FM stated that the State Government is now focused on supporting traditional occupations to boost economic sustainability for people. To improve the lives of the fishermen community, the State Government has so far spent around Rs 1000 crore and new plans are set up to construct check dams. These check dams can be used by fishermen to cultivate fish.
