Reliance teams up with Armani to enter restaurant business In India

India’s largest retail chain Reliance Industries is all set to enter the restaurant business with the world’s largest restaurant chain Michelin-star Armani eatery. Reliance is now ready to spearhead the food business industry by tea mining up with Milan-based luxury company Emporio Armani. The conglomerate plans to open the first restaurant in its luxury mall in Mumbai’s Kurla Complex according to the reports.

Mumbai will be the latest city after Paris, Milan, New York, Tokyo, Munich and Dubai that will have Michelin-star Armani restaurant. Also, Reliance is building a luxury complex in BKC called the Jio World Centre, which will house an International Convention Centre, shopping centers, malls, performing art theatre, rooftop drive-in movie theatre, and many other commercial offices. The mall is expected to open next year.

Since 1998, Armani is operating 20 restaurants around the world. Now Armani along with its latest partners Reliance and the Italian Luxury giant is all set to open its brand new restaurant in India. With this Reliance will be the first-ever Indian company to venture with Armani. Both the firms are yet to announce the opening date of this restaurant. Reliance spokesperson stated that the company will be announcing this grand news in a grand fashion.
