Software giant Oracle has rolled out a new cloud service globally for the retail sector. The launch announcement was made on Monday. The new launch will help retailers to attract more customers while improving operational efficiency and insights.
Dubbedas Oracle Retail Xstore Office Cloud Service, it aims to bring a balance in retailers operations by developing a more effective business model in accordance with customer’s preferences and eliminating the need of investments in data center. The service will enable the users to take full advantage of the cloud solutions without compromising on point-of-service functions on-premise.
“By moving Xstore back office to the cloud, customers can benefit from a continuous cadence of innovation that enables lower their total cost of ownership through centralized services and store operations,”quoted Jeff Warren, Vice President of Oracle Retail.
The company has also made changes in its omnichannel Suite to include different shopper journey combinations. Currently, Oracle Xstore Point-of-Service (PoS) is there in 83 nations and is responsible for operating majority of the process in the Oracle Retail Omnichannel Suite.
The Xstore Point of Services is also pre integrated with several other cloud services which includes Oracles’ Retail Order Management, Retail Customer Engagement, Commerce Cloud offerings, Retail XBRi Loss Prevention.
During the holiday season last year, many profitable retailers adhered to the right inventory since it is the base to meet the customer’s demand and to fulfill omnichannel journey. The latest suites of cloud services deliver a real time insight towards critical enterprise data.
