Oppo the Chinese company has recently spread the news that it is going to partner with electronic & communication department (ITE&C), information technology and government of Telangana to form opportunities for startups and entrepreneurs in the country. This new joint venture is said to allow both the party to work into a systematic development for the support system of startups and entrepreneurs based on certain verticals. According to the agreement Oppo will have to provide technical expertise and mentoring support to startups. These startups which are working in certain areas like camera and image processing will be aided. Also, firms focusing on battery, performance, networks (5G), gaming, Artificial Intelligence and payments will have the ecosystem support by Oppo. The selection process will take place on the basis of the startup’s intention on how they will aid the Indian users and more.
The vice-president and R&D head, TasleemArif said, “Oppo is committed to developing innovative new technologies and technology-enabled solutions to serve the Indian smartphone industry better than ever. Through this partnership with the Telangana government, which has shown positive intent in fostering a conducive ecosystem of entrepreneurship in the state, we hope to encourage and co-develop innovative solutions that will transform the smartphone industry in the country.”
