Samsung Electronics has rolled out its new mobile processor exclusively designed for the Indian consumers. The new processor will provide users with enhanced multimedia support to run sophisticated features in mid-range smartphones.
Dubbed as Exynos 7 series 7904, the budget-friendly processor will provide a rapid octa-core performance for an agile web browsing experience and to run apps on a smartphone. The new technology will also boost the network speed and provide a seamless multitasking experience in a low powered platform.
The processor operates on a 14-nanometer (nm) process and has two Cortex®-A73 cores (1.8-gigahertz (GHz)) and six Cortex®-A53 cores (1.6 GHz). To provide a fast web browsing experience, the processor is equipped with a powerful Cortex®-A73 as a ‘big-core’ Exynos 7904 that delivers fast single-core performance. The processor also has an LTE modem which supports Cat.12 3-carrier aggregation (CA) for 600-megabits-per-second (Mbps) downlink speed.
If we look at the image processing feature, the processor’s ISP (image signal processor) can handle a maximum 32MP resolution and provides an advanced triple-camera setup for high-resolution imaging. With supporting capabilities up to faster FHD at 120 frames-per-second (fps) or UHD at 30fps of video playback, and up to FHD+ display, the processor is very good for devices with a triple camera.
Currently, the new processor is in its mass production stage, and consumers who would like to know more about the new innovation can visit www.samsung.com/exynos.
