Apple to “Make in India” and Export

Apple to “Make in India” and Export

As major electronics companies have immersed themselves into the present bullish condition of the Indian market, Apple has dropped some big news. After a recent parley with the Indian government, they are all set to enter the country to manufacture their products. Due to the ongoing trade fights that they are having with China, they have been looking for a new hub to manufacture their products. After recently being granted permission from the Indian government, they are all set to foray into the country to manufacture and assemble their products and export.

“Apple has started manufacturing phones in India, including components. I am making this announcement publicly that now they have come to India; they have started making phones for export. They have also started making components for export. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I want a robust presence of Apple in India," said an ecstatic Ravi Shankar, the IT minister.

Ravi Shankar also stated that the government is willing to offer the giant electronics company relaxed policies and incentives which would help the enterprise. Presently, there is a facility in Bengaluru where the company assembles its iPhone 6s and 7 models through another company called Wistron. The IT minister believes that this is a possibility for India to open its trade markets to the global economy.
