Microsoft announced that it is soon going to launch new features for its OneDrive and SharePoint users; most of them are AI-centric updates. With an Office 365 subscription, Microsoft introduces more of its Machine Learning tech to its file storage systems.
The company might launch some of the updates in the Ignite conference in Orlando going to be held next month. Starting later this year, the most anticipated feature is the automatic transcription service for audio and video files. Transcribing a file manually is a tiring task, and it also takes a lot of time. Especially in a video file, it becomes really difficult to find any information in these files and moreover, is a time-consuming process. Once the information is extracted, the next headache is to transcribe it. According to Microsoft, the new update will take care of the transcription automatically and the transcript will be displayed while watching the video.
With this new feature releasing with the launch of the new Office suite version, the difficulties of transcription will end soon. All we need to do is to subscribe to the new Office 365. The best thing is that it can handle over 320 file types, covering almost every file type. Hence, the users need not worry about the file type.
Other updates the company announced are a new file outlook for OneDrive and Office.com. The AI-enabled Office will have some amazing features like recommendations about the type of file, looking at the type of work the user is doing and sending prompts to share the file with colleagues once the presentation is done!
