Microsoft and The Chainsmokers have unveiled a new special-edition Xbox One S as a part of an initiative that caters to Xbox One S consoles in collaboration with renowned brands and celebrities.
According to The Chainsmokers, “We were really pumped to work with Xbox on this project and help bring our music to life in a new way, by combining it with the best gaming console in the world. We knew the team would do something amazing, but when we saw the custom Xbox One S for the first time, we were both blown away by how cool the design is."
This Xbox One S makes use of a small processor which converts sound into light with a 3D effect. Sixty miniature pixels were used in the illumination of the multi-layered acrylic display. The other custom Xbox One which will be rolled out in collaboration with top celebrities from various fields like music, sports, television, fashion and art will be announced later this year.
The GM of games marketing at Xbox, Aaron Greenberg said, “Over my time, I have seen many unique consoles come to life but nothing ever like this one. This is a true piece of art and we’re so excited that we got to partner with The Chainsmokers on it.”
