A 100M Daily Active Users in India: Truecaller is on a Roll

Truecaller is a Swedish developed identification app. Ever since it came to India; all of the mobile users present in the country have started using it. Recently the platform announced that it has crossed over 100 million users in India. That is in terms of daily active users and users who have referred it to identify those calls and messages received by an unknown phone number.  As time went on from its initial release it has added and updated many features. Those include caller ID, SMSes, video calls, payments, instant messages and more. The premium subscription also is in a large, which is about five lakh users. Furthermore, Truecaller said in a statement that around 130 million users are active on a global level.

"India is one of our focus markets and we will continue to expand in the Indian market and integrate more services to create a robust unified communication platform that simplifies the lives of our users," says Alan Mamedi who is the CEO and Co-Founder of Truecaller. In India, every 10th active user has linked his or her bank account to Truecaller Pay and further it is said that around 60% of its users are considered to be experience Unified Payments Interface (UPI) for the first time. Offices are present in Bangalore, Mumbai and Gurugram. Truecaller may see an expansion in different locations very soon.
