For all those Snapchat Indian users, have you gone tired of watching content that is not relevant to the region you belong to? Well here comes a solution for them. Snapchat has launched its new ‘Discover’ platform. The announcement was done on November 28th and with that, all users will be able to see and view relevant content based on the region. The local publishers will be responsible for the content who will be displaying in vertical full-screen format. Mainly the popular social camera app along with certain media houses, content curators and studios focusing on entertainment is partnering in the venture.
The head of International Content Partnerships, Snap Inc told India Rami Saad said that they are announcing content partnerships with Indian creators. Content will be brought to the platform. Fourteen shows along with some publishers will be going live. Localized content is currently running in the app and all of the users can enjoy it. Just swipe right to watch content in a wide variety of languages and genre”, Rami says. Basically, the whole thing is done to give a localised experience that will bring on board professional content creators who will create content on a daily or weekly basis in local languages.
