Netflix is now becoming one of the major online streaming services in India. An unemployed guy who has an immense pressure coming from his family and the success of his friends is currently haunting him. Hence, as a result, he moved towards Netflix for a solution and is now mentally, physically and completely addicted to it. Anytime his ego is hurt or he is being put down he seeks the help of Netflix by watching it for hours.
The average online streaming in India is said to be about eight hours and 29 minutes, which is quite high while compared to the global scale which is just 6 hours 45 minutes. Although some might say the window is quite small but keeps in mind these statistics have only been derived after a period of time and with constant notice.
Coming back to the guy the Service for Healthy Use of Technology aka SHUT clinic at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (Nimhans) which is in Bengaluru has reported that the 26-year man has been spending over six months constantly streaming Netflix has been affected a lot. This is not the only case out there. Many have been addicted to online streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube and more have lost touch with reality and many scientists including healthcare professionals agree. Let us see if they have any solutions in the future.
