Dish TV launches New OTT app for users

Dish TV has launched a new online streaming app, Economic Times reported on Thursday. Dubbed as ‘Watcho’, the new OTT app will serve contents from original film series, short movies, infotainment videos, on-the-go snackable video content, and many more.

The service will aim to provide new aged video contents. People familiar with the matter said, the new app is the company’s unique digital content platform and a vital step for the company to brand itself a unique destination for entertainment in India. The new launch will boost both the brands of the company which includes Dish TV and D2H.

The company target to reach more than 10 million in the first year itself. The new platform will allow the users to stream the contents of many regional movies based on original short shows available in different languages and genres. Currently, it has around 20 shows telecasted in Kannada, Telegu, and Hindi.

The new platform also has a1000+ hours of library content of movies and short films which will allow users to choose their desired content.  The live or catch up TV will let customers stream their favorite TV shows and popular drama series.

Apart from a short storytelling, the platform will also serve contents from different genres such as comedy, fashion, poetry, drama, comedy, and thriller.

Existing and new users will be able to enjoy ‘Watcho’ at a free cost as the company is providing an introductory offer.
