2018 will bring a lot of opportunities and challenges in the field of enterprise mobility management. Every analyst and subject experts are keeping a pulse on enterprise mobility management trends that might influence an industry’s development. Particularly in Europe, the enterprises are trying to make increasing data plans to decrease the roaming charges and other charges. Most of the companies pay more than the data they use. The fact is that the companies using EMM- Enterprise Mobility Management don’t use much data for their devices.
With increasing cyber threats security has been the main concern as more employees access the enterprise with their mobile phones, tablets and laptops. Because of this reason, we may see more enterprises rethinking on BYOD (Bring your own device) practices. Major mobile carriers might partner with cloud services such as Amazon and Microsoft. Sprint which has the most 5G enabled network might have an important role to play.
This year’s hot news will be more about Unified Endpoint Management and Microsoft will play a key role in it along with VMware. In addition to this Corporate Liable (CL) might steal the limelight with many companies managing to mix CL and EDM in 2017. Some enterprises continue to use this hybrid which includes Corporate- Owned, Personally Enabled (COPE) and Choose Your Own Device (CYOD) have found CL to be more cost-effective than BYOD practices.
It is estimated that 50% to 65% of users do their business on mobile phones and other devices. EMM suite can provision, manage and secure the devices in the generation of devices and technology, and with cloud and EoT everything will get unified.
