Tejal Patil was appointed as the new Senior Legal Advisor for OYO

Hospitality giant OYO Hotels and Homes recently made an announcement regarding the appointment of Tejas Patil as the new Senior Legal Advisor for South Asia. Tejas’s new role will allow her to lead the company’s legal functions in the South Asian region, including managing legal compliance, contracts, and regulations. These new initiatives will help OYO to take up strategic initiatives, resolve disputes, and take actionable counsel on operational execution.  Patil will be responsible for overseeing OYO’s regional legal team and managing the outside counsel relationship in the region. It was stated by the company that the new appointment was made to create a global pool of strategic talent and also to significantly strengthen its leadership bench

The newly appointed legal head will be reporting directly to the CEO of OYO SA, Rohit Kapoor. The CEO stated that OYO is thrilled to have Tejal on board as its Sr. Legal Advisor and having some of such great caliber of the team will definitely strengthen the company’s corporate governance. Previously Tejal had held the position of the General Counsel of General Electric South Asia. Earlier this month the company had also given its employees time till February 2021 to voluntarily separate from the company.
