IBS Software, a Kerala-based company will take over AD OPT, Kronos Incorporated US-based company, Economic Times reported. AD OPT specializes in the development of aviation software and crew management solutions for some of the leading airless across the world.
Incorporated in 1987, AD OPT was taken over by Kronos in 2004. The company was originally founded by a group of mathematicians and operations research experts. The company has nearly 6,000 employees worldwide. The company provides its services to some top notched airless such as Qantas, Lion Air, FedEx, Emirates, Air Canada, and EasyJet.
For IBS Software, the acquisition is very vital as it will boost its growth strategy to become the number one technology provider to the airline industry worldwide. Apart from the new acquisition, till now the company has taken over three companies in the US, Two in Europe and one in India.
The company’s aviation software supports flight operations of airlines such as British Airways, Emirates, and KLM. The new acquisition will help them to leverage the deep domain expertise of AD OPT. It will help IBS to deliver some of the most high tech, end-to-end, integrated solutions for crew management and flights to complete their highly complex tasks.
After the new acquisition, IBS will add another 20 airline customers under its belt. It will expand IBS to expand its footprint across the North American Region, speed up go-to-market capabilities and improve addressable market.
