Siemens has entered into a partnership with SAS to work towards helping companies gain an IoT edge and develop cloud-enabled solutions. Both the technology companies will be utilisings SAS and open source streaming analytics through MindSphere, which is an open cloud platform developed by Siemens for IoT applications.
Individuals will now find it easier to access the SAS advanced and predictive analytics in MindSphere, leading to the increased adoption of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Moreover, the comprehensive and compatible AI framework for IIoT will prove beneficial to cater to the growing needs for IoT analytics and AI and ML capabilities. Stephen Bashada, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Siemens MindSphere said that SAS is a well recognised player in the field of advanced analytics, ML and AI, and they are quite excited to leverage their analytics in MindSphere. He also added that the merging of the industrial domain expertise of Siemens along with the profound knowledge of deep analytics of SAS will definitely take IoT a step forward.
The solutions will be made available this year and will be targeted to help companies across a wide range of industry sectors including healthcare, smart cities, manufacturing, energy, automotive, etc. Peter Pugh-Jones, Head of Technology at SAS, said, “Siemens remains unmatched when it comes to revolutionising operational assets, software and processes.
