Indian Fitness Tech Start-up GOQii gets Akshay Kumar on board: A new Investment in the Future of Smart Wearables

The smart fitness wearables are currently in trend. Fitness enthusiasts and people who want to stay fit are opting for better devices that can not only aid them in keeping track of their health but also tells them what to do next. This vertical is now growing and at a rapid speed. It evident that wearable devices will be the next big thing in the market and that is why the famous actor / Fitness enthusiast - Akshay Kumar has decided to step into this vertical and to do that he had to go for an existing company in the wearable industry. For now, he has selected GOQii as his go-to company.

His mission is to make India fit and he finds GOQii to be the right firm to invest in. GOQii is a homegrown fitness wearable manufacturer. It is aiming to raise $50-$70 million for now in the C- funding round. The GOQii's exclusive health and fitness OTT platform will allow Akshay Kumar to give live coaching sessions and also conduct India Health Quiz. The news I confirmed by Vishal Gondal, CEO of GOQii. This is surely a great partnership and only time will tell how this duo will change the fitness of India.
