Artificial Intelligence is taking over the traditional methodologies in the tech world and everything is in cloud now. The tech giants like IBM and Salesforce are constantly trying to bring out new products which can assist in data integration, data security and much more. The new partnership between IBM and Salesforce is all about integrating Artificial Intelligence into the processes like data integration and managing the weather data.
The alliance has recently gained attention although the alliance between IBM and Salesforce has officially begun in March. It is noticeable that although both the companies’ principles vary, they are getting together on a number of fronts. Marc Benioff, chairman and chief executive of Salesforce, was quoted saying “I’m thrilled to form an alliance with IBM. No company’s core values are as close to Salesforce’s as IBM’s. It’s the best of both worlds.” The main objective of this alliance is the weather data management. IBM bought The Weather Co. in 2015, and the new joint products will bring IBM Weather Insights, as well as IBM Cloud Integration, to Salesforce customers. If the IBM customers want to make an app, they are able to use the Salesforce data which is an additional factor that makes it special. While Salesforce will also be adding the ability to include IBM weather data in Lightning apps, Salesforce AppExchange will include its Weather Co. business as a Lightning component. In this way it offers a platform to deliver the weather updates at the same time triggers customer interactions.
