Google Rolls out the New Version of Chrome for Android, iOS, and Desktop

Recently, California based search giant, Google has introduced a new version of its web browser, Chrome for Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, and Mac. The name of the new version is called Chrome 66 and is packed with several design tweaks, security, developer features, and user-facing feature and policy changes. The major highlights of this new update are the Media autoplay behavior, password export feature, site isolation trial, and some bug fixes.

Earlier this year, the company has launched Chrome 64 that allowed users to mute audio on site by site basis. In addition to the previous experience, the new version of Chrome would automatically mute contents unless the user plays a media on a single webpage based on the media engagement index.

The new Chrome 66 comes with a new export password feature and the users can directly access it by clicking on the following options, Settings> Manage passwords> Saved passwords menu. After that, a prompt will appear where users need to confirm the download with their PC and enter system credentials to proceed further.

Moreover, the new version of Chrome will bring stability and improvements in the performance within the mobile apps and in desktops, users can update to the latest version or directly download from the official Chrome website.
