New Express backup Option for Google Photos is launched in India

The new launch by Google will now help Android users in India to back up their photos more securely than before.  Now, Google Photos has a new update called Express backup option; allowing users to store photos more efficiently and securely.

The feature was previously out for some Android users across selected Android users in India but now every Android user in the country is expected to get the updates on their devices soon. The users must see the express backup option on their Google accounts by this week itself, the company said.  The same feature will be available in other countries too.

The new photo backup option will provide users a better storage experience; because now photos will be saved at a reduced resolution, and hence cutting down uploading time even at lower connectivity. Furthermore, the company hasn’t removed the old original quality and high-quality backup options, and users can still use those data options by using fast internet connectivity.

Google stated that the new feature is pretty much suitable for those users whose internet connectivity is bad or doesn’t have a Wi-Fi connection, but still, want to upload their photos on the cloud platform. Whenever the user will use the new photo backup option, the photos will get compressed by 3MP, and the videos will be downsized to 480p.

Along with the new photo backup option, the company has also rolled out a data cap option for the back-up process.
