The Reason why Google Had to Remove 29 Photo Editing Apps from its Play Store

Many complaints and reports have shown up in the past regarding the safety of Google Play Store’s users. All the users have been downloading Malware and Adware. Recently Trend Micro the research firm has found 29 apps on the Google Play Store that were being used to make people download malware. The apps were photo-editing apps and were asked to be taken off from Google Play Store. Recently Trend Micro mentioned it in its blog. The blog said that it had detected many camera beauty apps that are available on Google Play could access remote ad configuration servers for malicious purposes.

The Apps that you should be staying away from are Prizma Photo Effect, Selfie Camera Pro, Emoji Camera, Art Effect, Wallpapers HD, Photo Editor, and Pro Camera Beauty (according to reports and extensive searches). Many more were part of the list which is yet to be confirmed. These apps do not mention anything about the malicious content and slowly infests in the phone. Some of these apps’ default feature is that it downloads a video app that shows inappropriate content and redirects to phishing websites which ask for the users’ details. Expert and high authority advice many users to stay alert before downloading a random app on the play store in order to stay safe.
