Google introduces a new Podcast player for Android Users

Google introduces a new Podcast player for Android Users

The California based Tech giant, Google, has rolled out a new podcast player for Android users. The new introduction allows users to listen and subscribe to podcasts directly from Google Search, without the need for any app installation. According to the Podcast production company, Pacific Content, Google is showing information about podcast shows and episodes listings in search results on Android devices.

The new feature is available on Google search and assistant that will help to sync podcast subscriptions across various devices. Meanwhile, to find the desired podcast, users just need to open up Google Search or Google Assistant and then type in the name of the podcast they are looking for. Additionally,  the users can also play the podcasts on Google Home  by using the Google Assistant and they have to juts say "OK Google, play the Command Line Heroes podcast”. Furthermore, the podcast player comes with basic functionality and gives users the ability to download episodes for offline listening with the option to scrub through the podcast or even pause, forward and rewind.

"Since our first launch, we've seen a surprising number of people return through search day in and day out. That's why we felt the need to build out a full-featured podcast player and make the experience easier to access”, Zack Reneau Wedeen, Google Podcasts' product manager, told Pacific Content.
