Tech giant Google Cloud has appointed its India MD Karan Bajwa as its new leader for Asia-Pacific. He will lead all regional revenue and go-to-market operations for Google Cloud in the Asia-Pacific region. He will also look after the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Workspace the company stated in a recent press release.
Bajwa succeeds Rick Harshman. He will continue to lead Google Cloud in India until a s new experienced leader is appointed. He will report the data cloud information in the Asia-Pacific region to Rob Enslin, the President of sales for Google Cloud. Bajwa will relocate to Singapore this year in order to check the main and development centers. Google has stated that it will set up new Workshop in Indore, India by the end of 2021.
“With the disruptions of 2020 behind us, true test of 2021 will be how companies replatform and build on the cloud not only for resilience but agility and innovation, and I’m excited for the opportunity to lead Google Cloud’s business in APAC to maximize this next phase of growth and I will give my best to improve the cloud technology,” Bajwa stated.
