Starbucks expands its franchises in Brazil

Starbucks has tied up with one of the most reputed multi-brand restaurant operator in Brazil, i.e. South Rock. This brand is helping Starbucks in licensing their retail operations around the country.

South Rock was founded in the year 2015. The brand currently owns and controls Brazil airport restaurants, a food and beverage service company operating in Brazil’s airports. The brand has notched up license agreements with Starbucks and TGI Fridays along with other international brands.

113 Starbuck stores are currently stretched out in 17 different cities across the states of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and the partnership with South Rock will grant Starbucks to open more stores in Brazil. The general manager and VP of Starbucks have permitted store operations in Latin America to obtain a license and said that South Rock is a firm local business partner which can meet the chain’s long-term growth plans for Brazil.

In the near future, Starbucks intends to open its first unit in Uruguay. The Montevideo area is a piece of another permitting concurrence with long-lasting Starbucks accomplice Alsea, the main eatery administrator in Latin America and Spain. Alsea works Starbucks areas in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia.

With the transition of ownership in Brazil, Starbuck’s retail operations across all 17 markets in Latin America and the Caribbean will become wholly licensed,” the company stated. Starbucks franchises can be found in Argentina, Aruba and Curacao, Bahamas, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Trinidad and Tobago.
