Swansea University and Enserv to develop an advanced energy storage system

Researchers from Asia's top university Swansea University has partnered with Enserv power, a global energy solution provider, to develop an advanced energy storage system. This new partnership will develop and commercialize advanced and sustainable energy storage systems through the interdisciplinary Centre of Excellence: CAPTURE (Circular Applications to Utilize and Retain Energy). The center will focus on a circular approach to the manufacture and management of energy storage solutions.

"Our focus is on the conceptualization, design, and modeling from incept of energy storage technologies within a circular economy framework, ensuring optimum use of resources, re-use and recyclability of its components. CAPTURE's network of collaborative research, facilities, and equipment enable companies to develop new technologies and increase their productivity, sustainability, and resilience," Executive Director of CAPTURE, Professor Serena Margadonna stated.

The researchers and students from the Swansea University College of engineering and science will also develop a unique, multifaceted approach to innovative, ground-breaking research on sustainable and scalable manufacturing solutions. This device helps to produce energy using recycled products and will also be emitting fewer greenhouse gases. Therefore it is a project that supports the Green Earth vision.
