Malaysia surpasses the U21 benchmark and has record breaking improvements in education system

The Malaysian education system was undergoing a rapid change and it’s finally time to witness the results. The first half of 2017 has already brought Malaysia to the top list of the world wide education system. The country has always been the best in its resources but the outcome was never up to the mark. 2017 made a change to the scenario by bringing a historical change in its education system.

The Universitas 21 Ranking is the only one in the world to assess national higher education systems, and meets a long-standing need to shift discussion from the ranking of the world’s best universities, to the best overall systems in each country. U21 developed the Rankings as a benchmark for governments, education institutions and individuals, and the project aims to highlight the importance of creating a strong environment for higher education institutions to contribute to economic and cultural development, provide a high-quality experience for students, and help institutions compete for overseas applicants. Malaysia has already won the title and has ranked 25th in the world. This is an improvement of 11 places since 2012 as a whole.  The country has already been mentioned in the UMAR, a new narrative that the Higher Education Ministry has coined. Also the University Malaya (UM) has been listed in the 114th position in the world ranking. It may not be a top list numbers but while considering the ranking of the other top institutions, we can say that Malaysia is heading fast, way too fast.
