Walmart is creating its own version of an online shopping mall and hence includes Moosejaw on its website

Walmart, the largest retailer in the world is trying to capture the digital marketplace by adding more and more brands and items to its website. In order to compete with Amazon, one of the most successful e-commerce companies, Walmart is creating its own version of an online shopping. The retail company is creating the digital marketplace with Moosejaw, an outdoor gear company. Moosejaw was acquired by Walmart last year and the company will be featured on Walmart’s website with its own online destination.

Moosejaw has a great collection of merchandise which includes items from brands like Patagonia and Canada Goose. Adding Moosejaw to it website is a win-win situation for both Walmart and Moosejaw. Walmart is quite confident that it will capture the market with Moosejaw, which targets millions of shoppers and moreover it attracts the younger generation that usually spends higher on online purchasing.

"We're introducing a completely new, outdoor specialty assortment that hasn't been available to Walmart customers in the past," Moosejaw CEO Eoin Comerford said in a statement. Moosejaw also mentions that it is an honor for the company as it is the first time Walmart is entering into online shopping business and hence it is creating an online store on its flagship website by introducing Moosejaw as its first seller. Walmart is trying to give tough competition to Amazon in the online retail marketplace by offering assortments of different products to its customers.
