Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus was supposed to launch its mobile payment service worldwide this year along with the rollout of OnePlus 7T series in September 2019. The mobile payment system is now live in China as per the information provided by GizChina.
At present, the payment platform deals with many kinds of bank cards, which include SPDB’s and Guangfa Bank’s credit cards in addition to Minsheng Bank’s, SPDB’s and Guangfa Bank’s savings cards.
There is no official announcement of the payment platform, although it is cited by an outlet that the feature is available in the OnePlus 7T Pro’s “Wallet” app. Mobile payment is very popular in countries like China, United States and India.
The Mi Credit app helps you lend money with credits of $70 to $1,400 to users. The Chinese electronics company paired with handpicked FinTech startups, including Bangalore- based ZestMoney in developing the venture.
It was said in October that WeChat Pay of Tencent was launching a payments feature which permits users transfer money through a mobile number.
Alipay, WeChat competitor allows users to send and accept money through email or phone number. After the success, now China Merchants Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Bank of China have also launched payment features that uses mobile phone number for transactions.
