Tech giant Apple has revealed some new emoji characters that it will be taking to all the compatible macOS, watchOS and iOS (likely iOS 11), which is likely to unveil later this year with the iPhone 8. As per the tech giant the new emoji characters relate with improved diversity, and include additional animals and creatures, new smiley faces and more.
As per Apple, the fresh emojis will comprise characters like woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person and Breastfeeding, and food items such as sandwich and coconut. Animals like T-Rex, Zebra, Zombie and Elf are also a part of the new emojis. Above all surprising emojis, there's a new Star-Struck and Exploding Head smiley faces to enhanced express you as well.
The company on July 17th made an statement on July 17, which is also eminent as the 'World Emoji Day'. Furthermore, Apple said that to celebrate World Emoji Day, the company's App Store will emphasize apps to create "or do fun things" with emojis. On iTunes, the firm is showing emojis in place of pick movie titles.
While these are just a number of the emojis that will be incoming for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch owners, last month's Unicode 10 said users will acquire a total of 56 new emojis. These comprise Bitcoin sign, Hijab, Zombie, 'Colbert Emoji', Scarf and more.
The Unicode Consortium blog post also mentioned that Unicode 10 will support Internet browsers and more platforms. "The Unicode Standard is the foundation for all modern software and communications around the world, including all modern operating systems, browsers, laptops, and smartphones-plus the Internet and Web (URLs, HTML, XML, CSS, JSON, etc.)," the blog post said.
