Facebook is one such platform where human connection is made easier. But there are some people who are not comfortable enough to upload their profile photo on facebook for the fear that their pic might be misused.
Facebook is trying to recur their user’s trust. So, it is testing a new feature in India that allows you to add an extra degree of protection to your profile photo. Tap on your profile photo and select “turn on profile picture guard.” In the company’s own words, once activated:
Adding profile photo and cover photo is mandatory so, these changes will make users more confident in uploading their pictures on facebook and avoid some creepers to share it with others or keep it with themselves. This feature will be limited to India for now, but facebook expects to expand it in other countries soon.
