Datavail’s latest acquisition is Accelatis

Datavail’s latest acquisition is Accelatis

A renowned company, provider of managed services for applications, business intelligence, and databases, known as Datavail is acquiring Accelatis, an enterprise performance management software platform company.

While this acquisition is itself a big deal, another news that came in forefront is that Accelerates founder and current president and CEO, Jonathan Berry will become the new CTO of Datavail. Berry has deep Hyperion (acquired by Oracle in 2007) expertise, topped with 11 year experience as a member of the original Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) development team, thus he will be bestowed with responsibility to lead Datavail’s continued foray into development of tech-enabled intellectual property that adds its managed services.

The acquisition of Accelatis would be the fourth in a row by Datavail in the past few years. Earlier, it has acquired Art of BI, an Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) consultancy, in 2016; Navantis, a Canadian-based Microsoft consultancy in 2017; and Advanced EPM, an Oracle Platinum partner focused on Hyperion and EPM consulting in this year itself.
