The social media presence has increased, which in turn has led to an increase in cyber-attacks.
Therefore the summit held mainly focused on the interconnectedness, the dangers related to cybercrime. Vijay Thakur Singh, Secretary of External Affairs Ministry, stated that "increased dependence on digital technologies has created both pressure and opportunities for creative policy solutions and regional collaboration to foster a secure, resilient, and equitable cyberspace."
Given the lurking dangers involved with it, the Government has enhanced the need to formulate and implement measures for securing cyber domain from malicious hackers.
