Western Digital (WD), the international data storing company has introduced a new hybrid cloud backup storage and recovery solution for professional companies. Western Digital has launched a new adaptable and low cost backup and recovery solution which would provide a hybrid cloud environments for companies.
The new product involves two strong technologies, i.e. ActiveScale object storage system and StorReduce, a software which removes duplicate information. WD is providing a petabyte-scale storage which can preserve the data smoothly and will help in building a data backup permanently. Eventually it would save the cost spent by different companies on this type of data backup solutions. This new introduction to cloud solution has the capability to preserve data in an open format which would help the customers in analyzing and obtaining hidden values from the data. Moreover, it would also help to change business ideas or introduce new inventions faster.
The ActiveScale object storage system is packed with a storage capacity of 480TB which could probably preserve data for the future and prevent unwanted disruptions. It would also provide seamless data durability across multiple hardware platforms. So, both ActiveScale and StorReduce will boost the overall performance of the solution with ease.
“We are excited to partner with Western Digital to offer our customers a combined solution designed with the ability to maximize storage efficiency for hybrid and private cloud environments”, said Vanessa Wilson, CEO.
