The partnership with Google Cloud supports Telenor’s digital transformation journey
Telenor has struck a strategic partnership with Google Cloud. Under this partnership, Google Cloud will help Telenor explore data management, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI/ML), and also Google Cloud's infrastructure.
Telenor has 172 million customers across Nordics and Asia and has annual sales of $14 billion (2020). The partnership with Google Cloud will help strengthen Telenor's technology capabilities and modernize its IT and networks. Google Cloud will also look to drive better customer experiences by leveraging Google Cloud's data, analytics, and AI/ML intelligence technologies.

Google Cloud will also collaborate with Telenor to expand the latter's horizontal and vertical services through joint go-to-market activities, create new scalable revenue streams. Together, the companies will include developments to the next generation of virtual network function and edge computing, focusing on IoT and 5G.
