Oracle Announces Opening of Oracle Cloud Singapore Region

The new Singapore region will support growing demand for enterprise cloud services in South East Asia

Oracle has announced the launch of its Oracle Cloud Singapore Region. With this launch, Oracle has expanded its reach to 33 cloud regions globally. The launch will help the region's economic recovery and support the growing demand for enterprise cloud services in the Southeast Asia.

“We welcome Oracle’s move to accelerate startups in Singapore. These initiatives show the confidence that the international business community has in Singapore, as a place where established businesses can work with a vibrant entrepreneur community to transform, innovate and grow,” said Ms Jacqueline Poh, Managing Director, Singapore Economic Development Board.

In relation to this launch, Oracle is also offering 100 startups $30,000 each in Oracle Cloud credits over the next two years. The company is also giving out free Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) training and certifications until 31st March, 2022.

By launching this new cloud region, Oracle has reaffirmed its commitment to Singapore and to the region. In addition, the OCI will help accelerate the innovation and empower startups and support upskilling for Singapore.
