IT firms in India have embraced hybrid cloud strategy to boost digital transformation

Less than one-third of respondents, according to research, manage their cloud infrastructures comprehensively.

Modernization's ever-growing needs have drawn attention to every organization's efforts and advancements in digital transformation. As enterprises seek the freedom to manage data across many clouds, on premises, or at the edge, it is obvious that cloud solutions have undergone significant changes. Recent research from IBM's Transformation Index: State of Cloud found that 85% of the questioned Indian business and IT decision-makers claimed their company had embraced a hybrid cloud strategy to support digital transformation. Organizations are faced with the challenges of having all of their environments function together as they move forward in their hybrid cloud journey.

Less than one-third of respondents, according to research, manage their cloud infrastructures comprehensively. However, quickly assembling various public and private clouds with on-premises settings and treating them differently can create vulnerabilities, particularly in terms of security. This dispersed method of operation exposes companies to risk, which they cannot afford given that the average total cost of a data breach in India would be 176 million this year, up 25% from 2020. Moving away from the traditional cloud-ways-of-working, training programs, and conducting contextualized training more effectively and at scale are necessary to close the skills gap and scale cloud adoption.
